According to a checklist of known ant species in Singapore published in 2022, a total of 409 species and subspecies from 10 subfamilies and 100 genera have been documented [1]. A survey conducted in 2012 identified 18 ant species around healthcare facilities in Singapore [2]. In the Southeast Asia region, Thailand reported 247 known ant species in a publication from 2005 [3].
